Revalidation course eligibility requirements

Find out if you are eligible for revalidation training

To be eligible for the Revalidation First Aid course, your previous first aid certificate must be no older than 2 years and 3 months at the time of course completion. If you have not completed your previous training with us, you will need to show us your previous first aid certificate so we can confirm your eligibility.

Revalidation training revalidates your previous certificate. To obtain a unit standard-based revalidation certificate, you must hold a Workplace First Aider (unit standards 6401, 6401, and 6400), a Foundation First Aid (unit standards 6402 and 6401), a unit standard-based Revalidation First Aid certificate issued by Practical Training Solutions or an equivalent certificate.

If your previous certificate does not meet these criteria, you may still attend revalidation training with us. In this case we will issue you a non-unit standard-based refresher certificate. We also offer ‘upgrades’ for individuals who want to switch from non-unit standard-based certificates to unit standard-based certificates.

If you are unsure about your eligibility or would like to discuss discuss your situation with us, please contact us and we will help you find the best option for you.
